APPOINTMENT POLICIES

 

Tangled Minds, PLLC (hereinafter noted as Tangled Minds) is available at:

a.     To schedule your initial appointment, please call 720-383-7095. After your first visit, you can schedule follow-up appointments either by phone or in person at the time of your appointment. 

 

Before scheduling your appointment, ensure that all initial paperwork is completed. Not completing the initial paperwork may result in cancellation of the appointment.

 

You also have the option to create a Patient Portal Account, which allows you to communicate with us online. By setting up this account, you can choose to receive email and/or text reminders confirming your appointments.

 

b.     If you are currently taking medication prescribed by a provider at Tangled Minds, it is required that you have a follow-up appointment at least once every three months for ongoing medication management. Failure to attend these appointments may lead to disruptions in your medication prescriptions and could result in your discharge from Tangled Minds, as this would be considered noncompliance with your treatment plan. 

 

c. For those starting a new medication, increasing a dose, being identified as high-risk patients, or for children prescribed stimulants, more frequent visits will be necessary.

Anyone being prescribed a controlled substance will be required to have an in person assessment prior to the start of the medication and at least 1 in person visit annually.

 

If you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, you can reschedule by calling or texting us at 720-383-7095 at least 24 hours in advance.  If you do not show for an appointment and have not provided 24-hour advance notice, you will be charged $150 cancellation fee, excluding Medicaid clients. In addition, this may result in a lengthy time period before you can be rescheduled. 

 

d.     If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, your practitioner will determine if there is enough time to complete the appointment.  If so, you will be able to complete the remainder of your scheduled session.  There is no guarantee that you can be accommodated for the missed time, however, you will be charged for the entire scheduled appointment.  

 

e.     If you have a standing appointment and you are either consistently late, do not show or do not cancel within the 24 hour window this appointment will be removed from the schedule. You will be able to reschedule based on availability. 

 

f.      In case of inclement weather affecting your ability to make your appointment, contact    Tangled Minds directly 720-383-7095.   

 

g.     Tangled Minds may cancel your appointment and every effort will be made to reschedule you within the week.  If this is not an option then the appointment will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
